Hi, I’m Karim.I wanted my mornings back.

At night, I wanted to get up early. In the morning, I ignored the alarm or switched it off. I built Arise because I knew that gap too well.

I wanted something that helped me take the next step: getting out of bed. So I paired a physical alarm clock with a sensor that knows whether I’m still there.

Months of prototypes, testing and improvements later, Arise is working. What started as a personal problem became something I hope can help others too: making time for the things we want to do, and showing up for the places we need to be.

A few things to know.

Here are answers to common questions. If you have any others, get in touch.

What happens if I go back to bed?

For one hour after you get up, Arise keeps monitoring your presence. Return to bed during that time, and the alarm sounds again.

Do I have to use Puzzle or Commitment Mode?

No. You can use Arise without extra restrictions. Puzzle and Commitment Mode are optional features designed to help you stick to your routine. These features are currently implemented in the prototype, with final specifications still in progress.

Do I need an app?

App requirements will be confirmed before launch.

Is it compatible with most beds?

The sensor attaches to a slat beneath the mattress. Compatibility with different types of beds will be confirmed before launch.

How is the sensor powered?

The sensor is designed to be battery-powered and connect wirelessly to Arise. Final battery life and charging specifications will be confirmed before launch.

What does the $1 deposit reserve?

Joining the waitlist is free. After signing up, you can optionally place a $1 deposit to reserve access to the 40% Kickstarter launch discount. The deposit is not the purchase of the alarm clock. Final pricing and launch details will be confirmed before launch.

When will final specifications be available?

Arise is in development. Final specifications and launch details will be shared when they are ready.

Will Arise wake up my partner?

Arise is designed to give you a gentler start with an adjustable wake-up window. However, like any audible alarm, it may disturb someone sleeping nearby, especially if the persistent alarm activates. We’re refining the sound experience as development continues.
